Green Tractor Scheme: New 10,000-Tractor Round Closes 31 August

Punjab has invited applications for a further 10,000 tractors of 50 to 65 horsepower under the Chief Minister's Green Tractor Programme. The round is reported to close on 31 August 2026.

How to apply

• Farmers in computerised Mauzas apply online at gts.punjab.gov.pk or agripunjab.gov.pk
• Farmers in non-computerised Mauzas collect a form free of charge from an Agriculture Extension office or the department website, and submit it to the Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension)
• Helpline — 0800-17000, open 8am to 8pm daily

The application form is free. Anyone charging you for one is defrauding you.

About the subsidy amount

Sources do not agree, and we would rather tell you that than pick a number.

• The Nation reported on 24 August 2026 that this round carries a subsidy of Rs 750,000 per tractor
• Radio Pakistan, an official state broadcaster, reported in June 2026 that the rate for 50 to 65 horsepower tractors was Rs 500,000

A new phase at a higher subsidy is plausible, but we could not confirm the Rs 750,000 figure on any government website — every punjab.gov.pk domain was unreachable while we checked. Confirm the amount on the portal or the helpline before you rely on it.

Sources also conflict on the land requirement, some saying a minimum of five acres and others a maximum of five acres. Those mean opposite things, so ask before you assume you qualify.

Be careful where you apply

Searches for this scheme return an unusual number of lookalike sites. Only .gov.pk addresses are official. No genuine Punjab scheme asks for a fee.
